Bompus publishes short, honest buying guides for TVs, audio, cameras, tablets and gifts. Each guide names one top pick, a few strong alternatives and the real drawback of every one, so you can decide quickly without reading ten review sites.
How the site is funded
Bompus is funded by affiliate commissions. When you buy through one of our links to Amazon, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Every guide says so near its first link. We show no prices, because they change by the hour and would go out of date; the button takes you to Amazon, where you see today’s price.
What we do and what we do not do
- We do not run our own lab tests. We start from independent testing and published guides, such as RTINGS for TVs and soundbars, and we name the source of each guide on the page.
- We check every pick on Amazon in the United States: that it is the new product, that it can be added to a cart, who sells it, and that the picture matches. If we cannot verify a product, it does not go in.
- We write down the reasons not to buy each pick, and we say when a claim comes from the maker rather than from a test.
- We do not invent test results, star ratings or “lowest price ever” claims.
